Guys I think this must have happened to you. You open a file attached to an e-mail, make changes to it but unfortunately forget to save it before closing. It doesn't come up in the recent file list in word and is nowhere to be seen. Now what??
Do the following to find the file;
Go to folder options in Windows explorer>Organize, click on View Tab and select "show hidden files and folders" and remove the tick on "hide protected operating system files"
Copy and paste the following on the windows explorer address bar. Remember to replace "XXX" with your own user name (or the one which was used in modifying the file), C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
Now you'll see some folders, the file you're looking for should be in one of these folders.
